Today on Feminine Roadmap we are discussing how to live forward after loss with David and Debra Matthews. David and Debra turned their loss into a mission to help give hope to those devastated by any loss and encourage them that life can still be rich and meaningful going forward. This conversation is rich with wisdom and truth around grief, what it is and why it is important to go through the grief process after any kind of loss. One of the greatest truths they share is that all loss is in context to other losses and grief is the normal and natural response to those losses. Grief hits us all at different times and in different ways. Grief not only looks different but can feel different to each individual so recognizing that there is nothing wrong with us when our grieving process doesn’t match someone else’s. Your emotions and process are yours and they are right for you. While the way we grieve may vary, the common thread is the importance of giving voice to our pain so that it does not impact us or our relationships negatively. Even when we are actively working through our grief there will be scar tissue, healing takes time. The good news is that even though we may be grieving, going through the pain of that, we do not have to wait to be happy until we stop hurting. David and Debra want us to know that no matter your loss there is always hope and we don’t need to fear going through the loss journey. If you or someone you know is grieving a loss, this episode will soothe, encourage and empower that grief journey in a healing, hopeful way. So please grab a cuppa something wonderful, a journal, and get ready to take notes that will support that grief journey. Please remember to subscribe, rate and share this podcast. Thank you!
