In today's episode, Patrick will discuss how we teachers can 'get in the zone' ... the zone of proximal development. He starts out giving a history of Russian psychologist Lev Vygotsky and his theories developed 100 years ago, and then discusses how they can be applied today. Patrick elaborates on the 3 central concepts of Vygotsky's work, and then shows how they come together to create the zone of proximal development. At the end, he shares several tools you can use in the classroom to "get in the zone".
