Episode 63
Oliver Marmol is the bench coach for the St. Louis Cardinals, a role he's held since 2016, and he's one of the youngest coaches in the major leagues. He and his wife Amber met while in high school and dated long distance while Amber was at University of Central Florida and Oliver was playing baseball at College of Charleston.
Oliver was drafted out of high school in the 31st round by the Pittsburgh Pirates, but elected to attend college instead. He was then drafted in the sixth round by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2007 and played in the organization until 2010 before he got into coaching in the organization. He and Amber talk with Matt and Leslee about life in professional baseball, how they've made their relationship and marriage work through the various seasons of life they've endured, parenting, and how their faith in God is the most important thing in their lives.
