Cola Boyy's Spark Is Vagabond: Bleak French Winters, Revolutionary Cinema
Multi-instrumentalist, singer, producer and disabled disco innovator Cola Boyy joins me to talk about Agnes Varda's devastating 1985 film Vagabond. It's a stark portrait of a houseless young woman travelling the French countryside on her own. Cola Boyy is in awe of Sandrine Bonnaire's central performance and the film had a profound effect on him as a teenager. So much so that he flirted with the idea of travelling the country by boxcar.
