07/16/21 - Host Doug Stephan and Dr. Ken Kronhaus of Lake Cardiology (352-735-1400) begin with news of the surging numbers with the Delta Variant. The numbers started skyrocketing right after the Fourth of July weekend. Israel now has a third vaccine and it could be approved for emergency use here soon. Two out of every one-thousand of the original pandemic got COVID, and a high percentage of those were overweight or diabetic. Next, Dr. Ken provides the definition of COVID long-haulers. Lingering symptoms include increased heart rate, memory loss and anxiety. Finally, Dr. Ken answers a listener question about pregnant women and over-the-counter drugs.
