Vocations 2021 - Episode 04 - Laity
Helena and guests speak about Vocations in particular the laity of the church. In the Catholic Catechism, it states that the mission of the laity is to direct the whole world toward the kingdom of God. God sends some people as laymen, so that they may build up the kingdom by their family and occupation in the midst of the world. Lay people support the life of the church, for instance, by becoming a lector or an extraordinary minister, by volunteering as a group leader, or by serving on church committees and councils. Communities for lay people are additional resources for laity to continue their faith formations, their educations and to enrich and re-ignite their flames to share with their parishes, work places and families. Guests for this episode include: Nanda Mee (Lay Dominican), Kathy Bishop (Lay Dominican) and the founder and editor-in-chief of The Faith Companion magazine: https://www.thefaithcompanion.co.uk/ and Gemma Wildsmith (Member of the Sion Community).
