When Walnut Grove gets its first bank, the possibilities seem endless for the town residents. However, first it has to be approved by the banker, Ebenezer Sprague…good luck with that. Doesn't matter if it's a loan or a donation, nothing is coming out of the Bank's Safe. In his off time, Ebenezer Sprague likes to spend it down by the water fishing. And that’s how he meets Laura. Disregarding the whole don’t talk to strangers, Laura makes a new friend who she meets up with after school and after her chores are done. Laura couldn't be happier with her new friendship and fishing buddy, that is until it's pointed out who her new friend really is. Will Ebenezer Sprague live up to the name he was given?
