Mike McKenzie - drummer, film maker & foster carer

A musician, teacher, filmmaker and foster carer. Uk born with Jamaican roots, his love of drums began by playing in reggae and soul bands and later moving onto steel pan bands. As a session drummer he has played for the likes of Janet Kay & Victor Romero Evans, Noel McCoy, Imaani, Kevin Leo, Lazy Hammock & Laura Matthews. Having studied a masters in film production his projects range from documentaries to music videos, corporate to community projects. Fostering for 14 years supporting children between the ages of 5-14 years led to creating his short film Be-Longing going on to win awards including Canada Shorts Film Festival and Hollywood Just 4 Shorts.
