In the last episode I spoke about just some of the many benefits of podcasting, but if that’s all true, why isn’t everyone doing it? What are the downsides? What’s the catch?
Well sometimes it does seem like everyone is doing it. Especially during last years (and this years) lockdowns, more people than ever were trying their hand at podcasting. The number of podcasts has more than tripled in a year, from 700,000 in the final quarter of 2019 to 2.2m at the end of 2020 and obviously rising since then. But most of these shows don’t last. So what’s happening?
I'm taking some time off this summer, so this audio is taken from the private podcast feed I released earlier this month.
