Exploring Social Impact and the Creating Space Programme: A Discussion With Head of Social Impact Emma Koubayssi
In this captivating episode of Coaching Uncaged Animas Centre Director Robert Stephenson is joined by Head of Social Impact at Animas Emma Koubayssi as they dive into all things social impact and explore the new Creating Space initiative that is poised to roll out its second wave shortly.
Emma details her background around social impact, sharing some of the big campaigns and projects she worked on around the world. Projects often focused on making an impact on young people, health and education. Emma also shares her own definition of Social Impact and the work being done around finding Animas’ own definition of what social impact means to us as an organisation.
Robert and Emma also explore Creating Space, sharing what the programme is, who it’s for, how it came about, what we want to achieve with the initiative and the benefits for teachers joining the Creating Space programme.
Emma also touches on the reception of the programme from both the coaching and teaching communities, some of the challenges behind getting such a big project off the ground, as well as detailing some of the learnings from the first wave, and the subsequent tweaks that will make the programme even more impactful.
Finally, Emma shares her big vision for the Creating Space project, namely creating a culture of coaching within the education system, as well as detailing some of the other social impact initiatives on the horizon including the much anticipated Animas Impact Incubator that will aim to support the Animas community to create, take part in and run their own impact initiatives.
