Today Ian welcomes Timothy Mahoney to the Conscious Design Podcast. Timothy introduces himself and talks about his experience at different automotive companies working as CMO. Timothy continues to describe how he was able to build better customer relations and what it took for each company. He also discusses the surprising similarity between working with Subaru and Porsche from a marketing standpoint. Timothy and Ian then discuss how you can make people feel better about donating to a greater cause and make it feel less like a “nice tax”. Timothy Mahoney has worked as the CMO and other senior roles in companies such as Subaru, Volkswagen, GM, and Porsche. He helped Subaru to grow its Share the Love event grow and helped Porsche to market the Cayenne as a sports car company, something new for them. Now, he’s retired from the c-suite and sharing his experience where he can.
