Located in Chicago, Ujimaa Medics is a community-based organization that provides critical health care training to the community, in support of the people who live there. Part 2 of this conversation includes one of UMedics' supporters and volunteers and to share her personal experience and continue the discussion of caring for one another and mobilizing a community to take care of itself when the systems are not invested in care.

Martine Caverl is one of the founders of Ujimaa Medics. UMedics are "Black community organizers, activists, pastors, healthcare professionals, mothers, brothers, sisters, fathers, cousins, and friends of African Descent in Chicago."
