In this first #TimelessClassic episode of the Ride Pure podcast, Gordon May speaks with people involved in the initial stages of the design and development of the Classic. They are Mark Wells, Ian Wride and S Siva Kumar.
S Siva Kumar is Head of Industrial design, India. Based at Royal Enfield’s new Technical Centre in Chennai, Siva was central to the Classic's initial design concept and has been responsible for the design changes made to all of the current model range.
Mark Wells is Global Head of Product Strategy and Industrial Design based at Royal Enfield’s UK Technical Centre. Mark was a partner in Xenophya, the UK motorcycle design studio that was heavily involved in designing both the Classic and 535 Continental GT before joining Royal Enfield full time in 2016.
Ian Wride is Head of Industrial Design, UK. Based at Royal Enfield’s UK Technical Centre. Ian was also a partner in Xenophya, the UK motorcycle design studio that was heavily involved in designing both the Classic and 535 Continental GT before joining Royal Enfield full time in 2016.
