9/6: Hundreds of thousands still without power after Ida. Unemployment benefits expire for more than 7 million Americans.
In Louisiana, many people are still struggling to cope with the aftermath of Hurricane Ida. Millions of Americans are traveling far from home over Labor Day weekend. Starting today, at least 7.5 million Americans will lose unemployment benefits, as two emergency federal programs expire. Labor Secretary Marty Walsh joins us live. This morning, the Taliban say they finally control all of Afghanistan. It's been a violent holiday weekend in Chicago, where shootings have killed at least four people and wounded more than 40 others.
