038 Autism: Misconceptions and Property Requirements with Alice Nock
In this episode Alice Nock shares how a personal experience of Autism led her and her sisters to form their company The Business of Autism. She explains some of the misconceptions around autism and discusses her thoughts on property requirements for people with autism
Alice graduated from university with a Degree in Law and went on to qualify as a primary school teacher. During her 10+ years in education she specialised in Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND), more specifically autism. Since then, she worked for a short while as a Business Development Manager for a Teacher Supply Agency and in 2016 she set up on my own as a full time property developer.
Alice still runs her property companies, but her real passion is working as Co-founder of The Business of Autism. The business aim is to create inclusive work environments where autistic individuals can bring their whole selves to work and where they are valued and respected for the talents and skills that they bring to the table.
