We all create bad habits, whether it is grabbing that coffee on the way to work or splashing out on the gadget that you don’t really need. Or we got sucked into a sales pitch while browsing in the shop.
Anne Caborn believes that understanding why we make the financial decisions we do and when we make them can help us make better financial decisions. So, she set up Money Fight Club with friend and fellow journalist Lindsey Cook.
Anne Caborn was a freelance journalist who has worked through the transition from print media to digital media. In the 1980s she was compiled the first British Rich List for Money magazine, which introduced her to the fascinating world of the psychology of money. The experience of writing this article inspired to found various projects that combined her passion for writing and finance.
In our conversation Anne talks about her experience of being a journalist and writing the first British Rich List. We discuss why she set up Money Fight club, why she believes it is important that we are aware of why we spend money as we do; and Anne shares a few tips you can use to make better decisions with money.
