Parenting Grieving Kids Through Your Own Grief- A Glimpse of What Child Grief Looks Like and How they Process It
Parenting is Hard! Parenting grieving children is harder! Parenting grieving children WHILE you are grieving is even harder. This episode I break down what happens developmentally when kids grieve. This episode just touches the surface but gives you some VERY helpful insight and understanding. Why do my kids ask me the same question over and over? Why does it seem like they have to go through all the details again and again? When you understand what is going on with them you understand their questions and how to guide them.
I hope this episode helps your understanding and gives you a little grace for yourself...and your child. PLEASE please please send me any questions you have. This is a subject that I have studied a LOT and a subject that I deal with daily. Even as I was recording- I didn't realize my daughter was outside the door listening and it lead to a 2-hour conversation at bedtime. It lead to tears both her's and mine but it also allowed us to laugh and grow closer together. You, my friend can have the same experiences.
My name is Tami and I am a Restoration and Confidence Coach. I am a Marriage and Family therapist turned life coach and I love it. I love working with women (and a few men) who want more from life- who are ready to move their tragedy from the center of their story to just being part of their story and reclaiming their identity. If you connect with anything that I'm saying, I would love to talk with you.
