Talk about a two-way performer, former Cincinnati Bengals defensive lineman Mike Reid got In The Trenches with Dave Lapham presented by First Star Logistics. Reid talks about his life, a career in football as a standout at Penn State where he was a Unanimous All-American, Maxwell and Outland Trophy winner, a first-round draft pick of the Bengals in the 1970 NFL Draft, and two-time Pro Bowl selection before walking from the game to pursue a career in music.
His second career saw much the same success as Reid would win a Grammy Award for Best Country Song in 1984 with "Stranger in My House", which was recorded by Ronnie Milsap. Reid would also write songs for Marie Osmond, Tanya Tucker, Collin Raye, Alabama, and Conway Twitty and would write and perform a No.1 country hit himself with "Walk on Faith" in 1990.
