Solomon Wilcots continued a trend of former Cincinnati Bengals leaving the playing field for a second career in broadcasting. Selected in the 8th round of the 1987 NFL Draft out of Colorado, Wilcots would play four seasons with the Bengals and a season each with the Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers. Soon after his playing career ended Wilcots joined WLWT as a weekend sports anchor then jump back to the field as a sideline reporter for ESPN's Sunday Night Football where he would win an Emmy Award.
