An ambitious project to engage citizens across the EU to help shape Europe’s future will be launched tomorrow (Sunday May 9th) in the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
The Conference on the Future of Europe will be a year-long event that’s supposed to involve citizens' participation from all corners of the Bloc.
European, national, regional and local authorities as well as civil society and other organisations, will be able to organise events and contribute ideas on Europe’s future. Much of the engagement will take place virtually as the Covid 19 virus will limit physical events. A dedicated website has been set up to enable contributors to get involved.
Fianna Fail MEP Barry Andrews explains how people can engage with the project.
