Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor got In The Trenches with Dave Lapham presented by First Star Logistics.
Coach Taylor talks about growing up in Oklahoma around the game, his journey from a record-setting quarterback at Norman High School in Norman, Oklahoma to a college career that saw him make stops at Wake Forest, and Butler Community College before finishing at Nebraska.
After trying his hand in the NFL and CFL, Taylor made the decision to get into the coaching profession at the college level as a graduate assistant at Texas A&M then as an assistant quarterback coach with the Miami Dolphins.
Taylor returned to the college game with a season at the University of Cincinnati as offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach before heading back to the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams.
Taylor talks about the teams he interviewed with for head coaching openings before being hired by the Bengals and talks about his team coming off their most recent draft and getting ready to enter rookie mini-camp.
The 2021 season is expected to be a major challenge as the Bengals are considered to have the sixth hardest schedule for the upcoming season.
