Rev. Mariela teaches about duende as authentic self-expression that has an impact on the lives of others and helps connect us with our soul - the most whole part of ourselves. She draws on her experience growing up in Cuba and the work of Spanish writer Federico García Lorca to explore repression, vulnerability, and how duende can free us to be our most whole, authentic selves.
