According to a recent Gallup Study, in 2020, 47% of U.S. adults belonged to a church, synagogue or mosque. That’s down from 50% in 2018 and 70% in 1999. This is the first time in eight-decades it's dropped below 50%. Younger people are far more likely to claim no religious preference.
