Breakdown Weekly #5 : Wijnaldum PSG, Koeman Stays at Barca, Messi & Co. Int'l Goals, Laporte & Gaya!

The BarcaBreakdown discuss a few hot topics, including Wijnaldum deciding to join PSG instead of FC Barcelona, Ronald Koeman staying for next season, Messi/Dembele/Griezmann/Depay scoring international goals, rumors of Aymeric Laporte and Jose Gaya coming to Barca!

 

With Wijnaldum, we understand he is being offered DOUBLE the salary that Barca was offering. We appreciate that Laporta is sticking to his guns and not raising his wage offer to Wijnaldum like Bartomeu would have. Koeman will stay, even though we had been vocally opposed to the idea. However, when rubber hits the road, there were not many other coaches available and Koeman's exit fee was very high.

 

International break is starting off to a bang, with an ever bigger development of the Euros/Copa Americas to begin THIS WEEKEND!!! Thankfully, Messi was able to score a penalty and almost 2 free kick goals. Finally, Aymeric Laporte may come from Man City to bolster our defense, possible on a transfer involving Sergi Roberto. We also may have our challenger to push Jordi Alba in the form of Jose Gaya from Valencia.
