The Daily Wake Up Micro Podcast
Business:Entrepreneurship
The four attributes of having a balanced life of an entrepreneur are: Vocation, Side-Hustle/Hobby, Volunteering, and Community. Today our focus is on vocation.
The definition of vocation is a strong feeling of suitability for a particular career or occupation. Other definitions are, a person’s employment or main occupation; a trade or profession. I’m not using the word, “vocation” in the religious sense where it is your calling. For the sake of this belief system, vocation is your primary source of revenue.
With the advancement of technology, there has never been an easier time to be an entrepreneur. Previously, in order to be considered an entrepreneur, you had to have a business and responsible for more of the financial risk. That’s not necessarily true in today’s society. You can have a "day job" and work your side-hustle. That makes you an entrepreneur.
Your vocation is where you receive a consistent source of revenue.
Creativity is the most important asset you have as an entrepreneur. Did you know stressing over finances reduces your creativity? Instead of quitting your day job, stick with it until your side-hustle becomes your day job.
