As a leader during the midst of a global crisis, are you leading with the same level of transparency as President Trump?
I’m not a Trump “supporter,” and I’m not a Trump “hater.” There are things about him I appreciation (fighting for religious freedoms) and there are things I don’t appreciate (how he speaks to those who have crossed him).
What I can say very clearly especially after reading 18 books on leadership last year, is the transparency he has displayed with his daily briefings during this crisis.
If you are in a leadership position with your company, church, side-hustle, or volunteer organization, are you providing daily updates to your team. If not to update them, to be with them?
The example the Trump administration is displaying is one I don’t think we would have seen with any other administration. Follow their lead as you lead those in your organization by being visible, approachable.
For such a time as this, we need leaders to lead.
