The Daily Wake Up Micro Podcast
Business:Entrepreneurship
I close each 4 AM Daily Wake Up Micro Podcast with a tagline: "You got it, now go get it. I expect it."
Recently someone asked me what goes into creating a tagline for podcasts. My response was, "it has to be true for you" and I used the 4amDWU tagline as an example."
The first part of the tag, "you got it" is something I wish my teachers would have done a better job at with me growing up in school. When a teacher would ask, 'do you understand?' (Which is the same as you got it) I would nod my head in agreement, however I had no idea. In other words, I didn't 'get it.'
It's important as a teacher, leader, instructor, etc. to ensure your audience 'gets it.' If they don't get it, it's not on them, it's on you.
'Now go get it' is a call to action for the person who just 'got it.'
You heard what I'm saying, you understand what I'm saying, now go get it for yourself, is the idea behind that part of the closing tag.
'I expect it' adds a little bit of pressure after the call to action is made. Too often in today's world there are little to zero expectations of those that have been given an instruction.
Having a level of expectation when spitting fire is essential in helping others get out of their comfort zone to go and do the thing they know they need to do.
You got it.
Now go get it.
I expect it.
