The Daily Wake Up Micro Podcast
Business:Entrepreneurship
There are two type of first car drivers in a caravan.
1. The one that says, "keep up."
2. The one that is aware of cars that are following them.
It's easy to follow the driver that says, "keep up" on an empty freeway where you can go freely go the speed limit, however once you exit the freeway and get on the side streets that first driver may arrive at their destination alone, without anyone following them.
The driver that is considerate of those following them will have more success in everyone arriving together because they are aware of the group following them. No need to speed through a yellow light because it's not about getting there quickly, it's about getting there together; with the entire group.
What kind of leader are you? The one that speeds ahead telling others to "keep up?" Or are you aware of those that are following you and ensure they arrive to the end with you?
