Grammy Award winning singer-song writer and producer, Tony Rich a/k/a The Tony Rich Project first gained worldwide attention and success with his smash it single “Nobody Knows”, after a few years of writing/producing for other artist such as Elton John, Boyz II Men, Toni Braxton, Michael Bolton and more. Tony has contributed to the sale of over 50 million albums.
Tony is the son of a father who was a visual artist that played piano and had a taste for theatre and a mother who always created things with her hands and nurtured anything and anybody back to life. Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, drawing pictures was Tony’s initial interest of creative expression almost as an attempt to mimic his fathers’ brilliance in the realm of visual arts but he chose to place all of his energy into making a career in music first.
Tony Rich continues to create quality music, art and photography, in addition to being a voice of reason for those who need insight and guidance in navigating the varying dynamics of living life and relating to others. In his own words: “I found visual arts to be in the same realm of creative expression as music. The canvas is the bed of music and the colors are the melodies. Even in conversation, to discover is to take revelations, apply and watch your life take new shapes. Every creative expression is a life-force of vibration and manifestation. Energy.”
