Laura Linney

Laura Linney was once described by a critic as being "elegantly restrained." Highly regarded by her peers, this actor has received three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. So, her talent has certainly been recognized. As HCC film professors Marie Westhaver and Mike Giuliano observe in this Podcast episode, however, Linney tends to handle her roles in such an understated manner that she has become a movie  star without becoming a celebrity.
