Reflecting on the stories of Jesus walking on the water (Mt 14:22-34; Mk 6:45–53 and Jn 6:15-21) and Jesus being asleep in the midst of the disciples' boat (Mt 8:23–27; Mk 4:35–41 and Lk 8:22–25), Fr. Eric reflects on how to persevere through our personal storms.
Topics include Jesus appearing to us typically when we're reached our own personal limits, the offer of peace which is meant to persist in the midst of storms, and the importance of keeping our eyes fixed on Christ to do the works of God.
Other topics include the reality that our storms can often expose our hidden intentions and motivations; the nature of Christian hope; and importance of becoming familiar with the psalms, particularly as revealed to us through the Divine Office.
