Matthew 6:25–32

In Matthew 6:25–32 Jesus transitions in his exhortation on this whole matter of where our treasure is. He has been telling us not to lay up treasures on earth and to have a single focus on pleasing God, loving him, and serving him as slaves. Now he transitions to another sign that will reveal if our focus is wrong. We can be focused on the world and yet have no treasures here to lay up. This type of worldly focus reveals itself in anxiety, worry, and fretting. In our passage Jesus is going to give us reasons not to be anxious.
