In this reflection, I consider feedback as a critical part of growing and the ways parents relate to the feedback offered through their children. Along the way, I talk about the sophisticated and unsophisticated ways children give feedback (loosely linked to their age development). I also talk about a 35 year friendship that holds a lot of memories in our traveling as children into parenthood (or not). Finally, I talk about my own growth as relating to my parents and learning (and accepting) reasonable expectations.
