Now comes the hardest part of the novel to write. We have scenes with angst, scenes with conflict, scenes that deliver the great story we want to tell.
What's the hardest part of the novel to write? And is it the hardest?
2nd question first: it's the hardest because we must maintain interest for the reader as we work with both creative muse and critical editor.
1st question: the Bridges between scenes. That''s right, we're completing our manuscript draft with Scenes and Sequels.
Also, we consider viewpoint selection and how to build a great opening for the novel. The first sentence & scene sells the book (while the last scene sells the next book.)
