Featured in TIR Episode 200, Part 1 of 2: Singer-guitarist GSHARP, a.k.a. Seraph El. Since the mid-1980s, he has worked, collaborated and cavorted with many of the Prince-influenced Minneapolis scene’s musicians and bands. Those include BrownMark and his band Mazarati, NPG keyboardist Morris Hayes, Jessie Johnson protege Margie Cox of Tamara and the Scene, local group Dr. Mambo’s Combo and his own GSHARP and the Bizness.
His credits also include Texas blues legends Jimmie Vaughan and Double Trouble. His pursuits outside music include marketing and consulting services, and he writes and blog and produces a topical podcast called That Which Matters to Me Most. Here he speaks extensively about his encounters and experiences with Prince and the rest of that camp.
