Today I’m talking more in depth about having an unhealthy relationship with food! Where does it come from and can we retrain our brains?
How do you even know if you have a bad relationship with food (or fitness)?
Let’s begin this SEASON of Grace 2 Conquer where we uncover the lies and discover the truth about “fitness,” why we believe what we believe or are connected to certain foods and habits. Let’s go on this journey together as we BREAK the chains that bind us in our lives, that hold us back from being the healthiest and best versions of ourselves.
I am SO excited for this new season and have been working endlessly, especially on myself, in preparing physically, mentally, spiritually and emotionally for what is to come! Only God knows for certain as this change in direction was no surprise to Him!
My name is Cara Foote and I am a personal trainer and lifestyle coach, turned podcaster and with a LOT of God and a little bit of me, my goal is to help as many women as I can find FREEDOM in FAITH, FITNESS, and TRUTH. I study holistic and integrative nutrition formerly having studied sports nutrition and want to share as much as I can to help others walk in freedom towards healthy living.
Look, there is a lot of JUNK out there! I have been a part of some awesome companies but sadly, many of them promote products that are not only made to treat a SYMPTOM of your problems (not the cause), but are usually bad for you and your health in the long run.
Some of the companies I’ve worked with or whose products I used were Xyngular, Beachbody, It Works, and 1st Phorm. Products or diets I tried (don’t laugh-ha!) are Atkins, Slim fast, Shakeology, weight watchers, nutrisystem, intermittent fasting, and Keto. Oh yeah, I can’t leave out the cookie diet…for real!! It was some special cookie that my friend and I would eat for two meals a day and it was AWFUL! Hahaha, we still laugh about that one to this day!!
Let me tell you something, rigorous workout plans and fad diets don’t work for the HARD lifestyle changes I’m talking about in this episode. But we CAN work on these things and how to have balance and freedom with food and fitness!!!
