The State Department has just issued a much-needed warning to Wall Street and other corporate enablers of the Chinese Communist Party. It served notice that those involved in supply chains or other business dealings in western China are “highly likely” to be violating U.S. law.
That’s because the Chinese Communists are engaged there in such crimes as genocide, forced organ harvesting, serial rape, persecution of religious minorities and slave-labor. For these reasons – and its myriad other crimes elsewhere, the Chinese Communist Party should be designated and punished as a Transnational Criminal Organization.
In the meantime, U.S. financiers and capitalists are now squarely on notice: Many are not only engaged in risky business that may result in serious losses for their clients and shareholders, as well as harm to the national security. It may render them accomplices to the CCP’s criminal conduct.
