The Means Bubble - Politics
When we think about the ends justifying the means we may think about politics first. Many, if not all, politicians believe in their ideals so much they may compromise what's "right" to get the job done.
I found this on Wikipedia - The end justifies the means is a phrase of Sergey Nechayev, the 19th century Russian revolutionary. It means that if a goal is morally important enough, any method of getting it is acceptable. ... It was part of a political philosophy called consequentialism. The basic idea is that a policy can be judged by its outcome.
Like anything you inflate, when you inflate the means bubble in politics it will eventually pop. I think it may have already popped with our last election.
