“Starting Over”…
this lie that we’ve fed into subconsciously is affecting us and holding us back from being healthy and moving forward.
How many times have you put a “START” date on something?
“I screwed up or I want to be able to eat whatever I want over the summer, so I’ll START when the kids go back to school?”
OR
“I messed up by eating something I shouldn’t have so I will just “start over” on Monday.”
In Heath and fitness, we are not baking a cake and having to start over if we get something wrong!!!
When you have a flat tire, you don’t pop the other three and give up OR change all the tires!
You have to KEEP moving forward, keep LEARNING from each “mistake” and realize that continually starting and stopping is a LIE! It can also be the beginning or be the sign of an eating disorder.
This week on my podcast, I’m talking about this “starting over” complex that so many of us get trapped into and some ways to change your thinking on it! I’m also going to have an episode about eating disorders and another on the lies of “labeling” and “absolutes” and how it is negatively affecting us.
