Today's conversation about magical realism is with filmmaker Desiree Abeyta.
Desirée is a Telly Award winning filmmaker and creative, known for exploring social and feminist themes through a magical/hopeful lens. She’s a graduate of the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts, She has a BA in Theater Performance from UNLV’s Nevada Conservatory Theatre Program. She starred across from Billy Baldwin and Denise Richards in the film “Christmas Trade” before transitioning from in front of the camera to behind. She’s worked in multiple aspects of the production world.
Desiree has produced and coordinated for a variety of media such as: promotional content for large brands like Google, Macy’s and Pepsi, music videos and events for notable artists such as Beyoncé and Post Malone. She’s an editor, a writer and a director. We’re going to talk about her first film, An Invitation to Tea.
