The Bread of Life - Jesus!

August 7, 2021- The Nineteenth Sunday of Ordinary Time -  Homily given by Fr. David Lugo S.J. at the 4:15 pm Mass on Saturday Evening.

This was Fr. David Lugo's Thanksgiving Mass for his ordination to the priesthood on August 15, 2020 in St. Louis, Missouri. He planned to celebrate his first Mass here at St. Cyril right after his ordination, but could not due to the pandemic at that time.

Remember the St. Cyril bookstore? Fr. Lugo's parents were active members of this parish and in his adolescence David was very active in our Youth Ministry and Children’s RE. We are truly blessed to know that a Vocation to the Priesthood emerged from our own parish of St. Cyril.
