On this installment of Making Media Now, host Michael Azevedo chats with colorist Rob Bessette. Any of you who are familiar with the post-production process are likely familiar with what a colorist does. But for those aren’t…take a listen and discover.
As a Colorist Rob alters the color of images that you see on screen in order to better tell a story. It’s his job to manipulate and enhance color to evoke emotions or create feelings that stem from the subconscious, and occasionally fix mistakes (yes, they do happen from time to time).
Rob’s home base is in Boston but he works with people from all over the world. He's been working as a Colorist at Finish Post (www.finishboston.com) for the past fifteen years.
Making Media Now is sponsored by Filmmakers Collaborative, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting media makers from across the creative spectrum. From providing fiscal sponsorship to presenting an array of informative and educational programs, FC supports creatives at every step in their journey.
