The Marvel universe keeps expanding with the latest Avengers-related movie, "Black Widow," which HCC film professors Marie Westhaver and Mike Giuliano discuss in this podcast episode. Its main character is portrayed by Scarlett Johansson with what Marie describes as a phoned-in performance, adding that the character's sister is portrayed in a much livelier fashion by Florence Pugh. This prompts Marie and Mike to observe that this is not one of the better installments in the Avengers franchise, but fans will still have many action sequences to enjoy. The second film discussed in this episode is a documentary about a famous chef, food writer and TV host. "Roadrunner: A Film About Anthony Bourdain" is an interesting look at the life and death of this celebrity. Although Marie and Mike really liked it, their main complaint is that the film devotes a lot more time to Bourdain's personality than to the food he sampled on his televised trips around the world.
