Dragon on the Couch: The Dragon watched multiple Kathryn Bigelow movies to catch up on the podcast Blank Check, including Near Dark (AMC, Shudder), a vampire western she really liked, and Blue Steel (Tubi), a cop thriller that she also liked. The Dragon also highly recommends the documentary Woodstock 99: Peace, Love, and Rage (HBO), about the failure of the 3-day music festival.
Berto on the Bed: Berto and his chick watched the 2016 Suicide Squad (HBO), and can both confirm it is just as bad as everyone says. Berto also watched Silence (Hulu), a 2016 two and a half hour Martin Scorsese film no one remembers and thought it was good but boring. Finally, Berto caught Jurassic Park (HBO) and, as always, agrees that it is a masterpiece.
Dragon at the Movies: This week's deep dive is the 2018 Coen Brothers film The Ballad of Buster Scruggs, currently streaming on Netflix.
