Are you able to find contentment right where you’re at while still believing for the promises of God and things yet to come?
Do you know God well enough that if you try to write your own story it won’t be nearly as good as if you allow Him to?
Is God enough if things don’t go as you planned?
Spoiler: If He’s not enough without the blessing, He won’t be enough with it.
In order to get to a place of contentment sometimes we have to grieve it. When we turn things over to God, that means completely—we don’t know if we’ll get it back or if it will ever happen, but nevertheless we surrender and trust God because He is good.
Surrender is a choice we walk out. You can’t shortcut intimacy and trust with God. When we fully surrender God can bring us to believing and contending again when it seems so risky for us.
Some things are problems to solve and others are tensions we manage. Our timelines are usually things we must manage—dying to our ideas and surrendering to what is.
Are you ready to be steady in the tension?
Until next time,
Stay blessed!
