Philippians 2:19-24
No one Else like him.
Apostle Paul here gives an account of Timothy and Epaphroditus .
These were real men who quite unconsciously display the character of Jesus Christ, excellent examples of all Paul has been writing about.
Today lets meet Timothy as Paul writes about him.
We see that Paul brings out the quality in Timothy's character that marks the man as Jesus Christ.
We see that Timothy is an exceptional man. Paul says, I have no one like him.
Others could match up in different areas, but there was one area where no one even comes close to this man, and that is in his selfless care, his demonstration of genuine and anxious concern for the welfare of others.
Here he is demonstrating Timothy's Christian virtue, the distinctive mark of the presence of Christ within: selflessness! That is what Lord Jesus said of himself, Learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart.
While he writes this, Paul’s heart is of true reliance upon the Lord.
He wanted to see Timothy among the Philippians, but recognized that it would happen in God’s way and in God’s timing.
When Paul sent Timothy, he sent his best, a man who showed a pastor’s heart and had greater concern for his sheep than for himself.
Can someone write a true testimony of our life?
Let us pray.
