On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, Top Mental Health Coach and sports psychologist, Trevor Moawad, passed away from cancer. He was 48 years old.
On Friday, October 11, 2013, Top human being and former pastor, my dad, Wayne Ritchie died from a cardiac arrest. He was 67 years old. We prayed him back and he is now a pastor here in Las Vegas.
Ever since we prayed my dad back in 2013, I think everyone will conquer death, yet Trevor Moawad passed away.
It’s not fair.
Like my dad, Trevor had so much to offer the world, Lord, why take that away? If it wasn’t for Trevor, I wouldn’t be the man I am today. I wouldn’t be speaking at schools, wouldn’t have written a book, he impacted my life greatly and could have done the same for others.
It’s not fair.
I knew Trevor more than he knew me. If we would have passed each other in the grocery store, he probably wouldn’t recognize me. I’ve only met with him three to four times. He wouldn’t remember who I was until I called him Jim Caviezel. For some reason he reminds me of the actor Jim Caviezel. When I told him that, it made an impression; Trevor liked it.
It’s not fair.
As I call out to God asking for a reason, I can picture Trevor in Heaven leaning in whispering to God, ‘it’s ok, I got this.”
“Troy,” Trevor might say, “you can only control what you can control. You know what it takes to do what it is you need to do. Take advantage of your time on earth. Think neutrally and execute at an elite level.”
Thanks, Trevor, I needed that. Rest in peace, my friend.
