The First Step in Self-Care is Understanding the Value of Self-You are Enough, You are Worthy, You are Deserving

Humbleness is an attribute that God greatly values. But does He want us to be so humble that we let ourselves feel no value? Are we to be so humble that we are to continue to give even when we have given our last drop of energy? It is so hard for me to accept that I am deserving of things, to believe that I am enough- just as I am and that I am worthy.  But to really understand self-care- and what true self-care means (and not just the luxuries we hear about and desire). We need to know and believe we are enough, we are worthy, and we are deserving of good things. I believe we can say with boldness and confidence that we are each of these things, simply because God says we are.  He gave us gifts and our value is not in who we are but who God is and who He said we are.  The best part about that- we do not have to look inside to be called this. As a child of God, an adopted heir- we are worthy because we are valued.
