Yesterday Jerome Powell addressed the Senate Committee on Banking, today he will address the House Committee on Banking Housing and Urban Affairs.

These testimonies are an important way in which the Federal Reserve communicates with legislators on the Hill.

Adding to Powell's testimonies today is the fact that the Chairman's term comes up early next year. And it's not at all certain that he will be re-appointed. Standing in the way is Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts.
