The European Commission is trying to find ‘practical solutions to practical problems’ when it comes to the Northern Ireland protocol and demands by the British government to change it.
So says Barbara Nolan, the head of the European Commission’s Representation in Ireland.
She made the comments during an appearance before the Oireachtas European Affairs Committee this morning.
Later today the European Commission’s vice president Maros Sefkovic will announce the EU’s suite of measures to end the row over the protocol.
